Like many other GP surgeries we are receiving an increased number of calls and although restrictions have been lifted we are still very much dealing with COVID19, especially with its effects on our workforce, as we see an increase in the number of staff who are having to isolate due to positive tests for themselves or their children.
The combination of these factors is sometimes resulting in longer telephone wait times than we would like. We very much appreciate that this can be very frustrating for our patients and under normal circumstances would not be the level of service that would be acceptable to us. Please rest assured that we are doing everything within our power to improve our service in this area.
We are also seeing an increase in levels of abuse directed towards our staff, and whilst we understand the frustration and annoyance that can be caused by having to wait longer than expected to contact us please bear in mind that all our staff are here to help and are still working extremely hard to do their very best for all patients.
